Bike & Hike
Dinner at Piltriquitron
Piltriquitron is one of those unique places with unlimited possibilities, great hosts and modern facilities. You can do anything from downhill mountain biking to road cycling and everything in between. The possibilities are endless and the owners always have good suggestions, both in St. Anton and nearby locations. I have been there many times both during winter and summer and I always look forward to coming back!
The Arlberg region is a very special place. I have been on numerous bike trips to the region and it never ceases to amaze me. You will experience many gravel roads and single trails around the mountains and be amazed how far you can come on your gravel bike. Don’t forget to cool down in one of the many beautiful mountain lakes. If you want to experience a more unknown gravel bike paradise, come enjoy the beautiful Arlberg region.
Rediscovering areas, enjoying new perspectives ... that's what has fascinated me since my first hardtail 30 years ago. You don't need a bike park, not even a GPS device. A map and a bit of adventure is enough. Micro adventures - that is also the common dominater of my explorable biking tours with Jacob at the Arlberg. The amazement at the lush green Kapall and Galzig. The great view from high alpine sheep trails to the summit of the Verwall Alps. The exciting exploration of tight paths between St. Christoph and the Albona with shouldered bikes. The glittering Kartell lake in Verwall or the hairpin bends on the Flexenbach near Zürs - every single bike day has been burned into my memories at least as much as the many winter experiences with dusting powder and spraying corn snow.
Piltriquitron provides a perfect setting for biking (and e-biking) in the beautiful mountains of St Anton. We had a fantastic bike ride up to Darmstädter Hütte (2 384 m), and after a tasty lunch, we had a fun ride downhill again both on roads and trails. After a day exploring the mountains, it is nice to relax and enjoy some cold beverages in the tranquil garden at Piltriquitron
A super stay in a relaxed and warm place. The atmosphere of the common area makes it a nice place to meet other guests for a chat after a day spend in the mountains. I’ve been there first time for mountain biking and kayaking in summer. Now I always return during winter for skiing and ski touring! Awesome place in a nice town!
